Important Notes: Students must purchase a physical copy of the textbook and not an electronic version. You’ll be using and writing in the book daily, and it will be used for all three Music Theory courses (I, II, and III)—so your annotations will carry over and continue to support your learning throughout the full sequence. Rentals are not available due to the expected use and annotation. New or used copies are acceptable, as long as they are the current 9th edition.

Important Notes: Students must purchase a NEW hard copy version of the Kostka workbook. No used or electronic versions are allowed. Students will be turning in handwritten pages from this workbook on a near daily basis. Assignments will not be uploaded to Canvas or allowed in a digital format. Thus, each student will need a new copy of the 9th edition of the Kostka theory workbook.

Important Notes: Alternate hardback copy. Since this book will be used for multiple semesters, it may be worth the investment to purchase the hardback edition instead of the loose-leaf version if your budget permits.
